This was Flannery O'Connor's first novel, published in 1952, which follows Hazel Motes, a World War II veteran who returns to a deserted hometown and grapples with his rejection of faith. He attempts to establish an anti-religious ministry called the “Church Without Christ,” encountering various eccentric characters and exploring themes of belief, sin, and redemption throughout his tumultuous journey.
All are welcome! The only requirement is that you've read (or listened to) the book. Delicious snacks will also be provided.
