Join us for a workshop on fairy tales with a researcher and writer Alba Morollón Díaz-Faes in Good Company Bookstore!
About this Event

Fairy-Tale Monsters, Misfits, and Other Selves is a participatory workshop on monstrosity in classic fairy tales. Beginning with a short introduction, the session will explore how fairy tales use monstrous figures not only to stage fear and danger, but also to define, trouble, and sometimes resist social norms. Working with a small selection of traditional tales, participants will reflect on monsters, hidden selves, and identification with otherness through small-group discussion and shared conversation.

About your host:

Alba Morollón Díaz-Faes is a researcher and writer based in Lisbon. Her work focuses on fairy tales, queer retellings, and the cultural afterlives of traditional narratives across literature and media. She is the author of Tales for Fairies, which traces the queer history of fairy-tale retellings from early literary traditions to contemporary digital culture.
