About this Event
In recognition of Fair Chance Month (previously known as Second Chance Month) 2025—a campaign that aims to give people returning from incarceration a fair chance to rebuild their lives—CSUSM Project Rebound, USD Torero Urban Scholars, Palomar College Rising Scholars, and MiraCosta Transitions Scholars invite you to a resource fair and film screening. The resource fair will include re-entry and support services that connect formerly incarcerated individuals (and their families) with critical resources based in San Diego County and beyond. The film screening will feature The Strike, a documentary that tells the story of a generation of California men who endured decades of solitary confinement and, against all odds, launched the largest hunger strike in U.S. history. After the screening please join us for a panel discussion with some of the filmmakers and protagonists. We hope you can join us at CSUSM for this impactful event to commemorate Fair Chance Month 2025.
Free parking is available on Level 6 of Parking Structure 1.
