Dale is a worker in the service industry, delivering various items to a vast array of people in New York City. Covid and political turmoil does not stop him as he continues to traverse the busy streets keeping his bank account, bills and all, in the front of his mind. Also weighing heavily on his psyche is the loss of his mother whom he lived with until her passing. Dale’s only positive social interactions are with those he randomly happens upon: an overeager student, a grieving office employee, an overworked nurse, a body art performer, a fellow delivery person. Cracks begin to form when the death of a friend is communicated to him in a roundabout, inhuman way. The go-go-go mentality of his labor only makes things worse and sends him into a spiral of despair and disrepair.
