Getting started with federal student aid can be tricky. Let us help.The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form is used to apply for financial aid for college and grad school. Like a lot of federal forms, it’s a bit of a lift, but it unlocks opportunities for student loans, scholarships, grants, work-study programs, and more.
STCU is partnering with Launch NW and the College Success Foundation to provide qualified help completing the FAFSA. It’s free for any community member with a student considering higher education. STCU membership is not required to attend. No registration necessary.
Before you go:
Please bring along the following information and/or documents:
- Email addresses of student and parent(s).
- Social Security Numbers and birthdates of student and parent(s). For Green Card holders, please provide your A-Number.
- 2023 Federal Tax information or return(s).
- Records of any untaxed income.
- Cash, savings, and checking account balances.
- Investment information, other than your primary residence.
Though not necessary, we suggest you bring a laptop with Wi-Fi capability.
Water and snacks will be provided.
