To our Faeryscape Fantasy take over of Baltimore City in Fells Point! Land and Water friends come make some mischief with us! Faeryscape is one of the first Black-focused Fae Festival on the East Coast. With the mission to unite all of Fae and fantasy, we offer this free event to All Ages and Gender identities. Promoting positive representation to people of color in mainstream media, & visual arts, particularly in Fantasy aesthetics. We create a visible space, without the intention to exclude any international cultures to continue to have a Renaissance of fantasy aesthetic. We invite all our Faefolk friends from our tight knit Magical Community of the DMV area to support a long dream goal Festival. We are finally coming to a time where Black Fantasy Artists, Vendors, Performers, Musicians and other magical Spiritists can thrive and expand our influence to appeal to others like you! We hope you enjoy your experience and look out for more events under Faeryscape.

On Social Media platforms such as, Instagram, twitter, etc.. While posting your photography/Videography: Try tagging and using our hashtags. With the inspiration of Black Fae Day, which was celebrated virtually in 2021. Jasmine La Fleur, with the support of her partner Carlos Williams Jr., created the first ever Black Fae Day event on May 8th, 2021, which garnered global participation by Black creatives as well as the support of their allies. With an estimated 100,000 tweets, the associated hashtag (#blackfaeday) made it to at least #2 trending on Twitter on the day of the event. Activity of the hashtag was also high on other social media platforms and creative outlets, such as TikTok and Instagram. While seeking fantasy characters with ethnicity, most of us found it hard to find role models or stories especially for our younger faebles to genuinely connect with because they did not look like us. After seeking help from Aiysha Sinclair and Her community fan base, Black Fae day reached their succession. Aiysha Sinclair, a Black Creative of Children Fantasy books and Creator of the Brown Sugar Fairies Community. She was featured in Enchanted Living Magazine, which she will be launching her own seasonal Magazine and weekly blog posts about other Black Fantasy creatives. They both have made a huge impact for our Black fantasy Community to expand. Afro Fae Day is NOT affiliated with Black Fae day. Given the fact that “Black Fae day” is not ours, we respectfully called it something else to connect with our POC (People of Color) of the DMV area. J’vonte Lee, owner of Realm’s Workshop wanted to share this international Holiday, Black Fae Day with his DMV Magical Friends. Who was recently Crowned by Nina Amaya (Director of Baltimore Faerie Community), as King of Baltimore Faerie Faire Community. J’vonte Lee, wanting to give the opportunity in honor of his crowning, connected with Emily Eaglin (Creator of Fairyscape) and The Owner of The Alchemy of Art , Sheridan Costa, that host the event, to make this newly developing event come to life!
