Introducing Lycoming College's newest faculty and affiliate woodwind quintet, the Sheshequin Winds! Named in honor of the Sheshequin Trail, a major Native American trail (also known as the Lycoming Path) that established Lycoming County and Williamsport as an important center of art and culture amid the vast wilderness, the Sheshequin Winds seek to embrace and expand upon our local cultural heritage. Woodwind faculty members Anthony Fortuna (oboe), Rebecca Reeder (clarinet), and Sheila DuMont (flute), are joined by affiliate artists Scott Chamberlain (bassoon) and Hunter Horne (French horn) for their debut performance. Program will be selected from works by Claude Arrieu, Amy Beach, Jacques Ibert, and more. Admission is free.
