Faculty member Michelle Keem, bassoon, is joined by clarinetist James Pytko and pianist Ian Scarfe for a program featuring Strauss' Duet-Concertino.Michelle Keem is Principal Bassoon of both Santa Cruz Symphony and North State Symphony and plays with many orchestras around the Bay Area. She has performed with orchestras and chamber ensembles across North America and Europe, including the Oregon Symphony, San Antonio Symphony, Antwerp Philharmonic, Buffalo Philharmonic, and Olmos Ensemble.
Clarinetist James Pytko is Second/Bass Clarinet of the Opera San Jose Orchestra, Second Clarinet in the Monterey Symphony, and Principal Clarinet of the North State Symphony. He also proudly serves on the staff of Musicians Union Local 6.
Pianist Ian Scarfe enjoys a busy career as a concert pianist, collaborator, and organizer of large-scale musical happenings. He is on the faculty of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and is the founder and director of the Trinity Alps Chamber Music Festival.
