Join us for a faculty recital performed by Justin Montigne, voice, with Ling Lo, piano. Mélodies Passagères: Songs of Longing and Belonging explores music and poetry shaped by love in its many forms—hidden, celebrated, enduring. From the Schumann family circle to Samuel Barber and Stephen Sondheim, these works highlight how LGBTQ+ lives and relationships have always been part of the fabric of artistic expression. Also featured is Jodi Goble’s Song-Lost World, a setting of poems by Yone Noguchi that extends her connection with UND after last spring’s guest residency. The event will be livestreamed at und.edu/music/stream for those unable to join us in person.
