FACES: Dynamic Portraits Three Part Courses for Pet &/or People
Each month, Art More Place is offering a four hour Sunday Portrait Class. The first three months, May through July, will focus on the Human Face. Months August through October, will focus on Pet Portraits. Students will be given valuable tips and techniques from Pet & People Portrait Artist Carol Muro, as well as a comprehensive overview of suggested art materials. These classes are designed for the creative person who wants to learn to render engaging Pet &/or People Portraits and produce dynamic, quality work. All supplies included, but a suggested supply list is also provided. These are guided courses and no experience is necessary.
Location: In person Art More Place Art Classes are now held at 1418 Highland Ave. (Derek Gores Art Gallery) in the Eau Gallie Arts District.
PART 1:
PEOPLE PORTRAITS: Graphite Drawing & Painting
Date: Sunday, May 26
Time: 3pm-7pm
This course will help students understand how to both render and paint human faces with graphite, achieving dramatic artwork! Learn which paper and material combinations provide the best results. This class will help students effectively create the essence of their subjects.
PART 2:
PEOPLE PORTRAITS: Charcoal Drawing & Painting
Date: Sunday, June 30
Time: 3pm-7pm
This course will help students understand how to let go and successfully paint human faces with charcoal in a very expressive way. A variety of drawing materials are used in combination with unique methods, that have tried and true results. Several portrait renderings and paintings will be created in the class.
PART 3:
PEOPLE PORTRAITS: Mixed Media Drawing & Painting
Date: Sunday, July 28
Time: 3pm-7pm
Students will enjoy a variety of expressive, colorful portrait processes, combining mediums such as watercolor, colored pencil, ink, etc. Ideal for the portrait artist, illustrator or fine artist alike. The valuable tips and techniques provided help students create artwork that has immense personality!
