Faces of Foster Care: Identity & Belonging
Join us for an evening of powerful storytelling and meaningful connection as we learn from amazing individuals with lived experience in the foster care journey.
May 1st, 2025
Entrata in Lehi | 4205 Chapel Ridge Rd., Lehi, UT
Before the conversation begins, enjoy an art stroll from 6:00–7:00 PM, showcasing artwork created by individuals of all ages and connections to foster care—youth, birth families, foster families, and kinship caregivers. Each piece offers a unique perspective on Identity and Belonging from the personal experience of those we honor and celebrate at this event. Enjoy light refreshments and connect with Utah Foster Care staff, foster families, and community members making a difference.
At 7:00 PM, hear directly from those who have lived the foster care experience. Our two-panel discussion will feature voices from diverse backgrounds including people of color and single foster parents, a birth parent, and a kinship provider. We will also hear from former youth in care, including a young adult adopted from foster care and an LGBTQ+ young adult with lived experience.
- Identity Panel (7:00–7:30 PM)
- Belonging Panel (7:30–8:00 PM)
This is an opportunity to listen, learn, and ask questions in a welcoming space. Whether you're curious about foster care, looking for ways to support children and families, or simply want to engage in meaningful conversation, we invite you to attend!
