About this Event
Join us on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 2-4 pm for the EF HIV: Fabric Painting Techniques workshop. This workshop will be held at the LGBTQ Center of Long Beach and focus on fabric painting. Participants will learn the basics of fabric painting and be able to create their own handmade pieces. You can bring your own clothing to paint on or use a piece of fabric provided at the workshop.
Additionally, we will briefly discuss Ben Cuevas's work and how he weaves HIV and PrEP into his works and a presentation for a local PrEP Navigator on local HIV/PrEP resources.
This workshop is open to those 18 and up, and no prior experience is necessary. All materials will be provided to participants. Walk-ins are welcome! Space is limited, so registration is highly encouraged. Masks are optional.
Location: The LGBTQ Center of Long Beach; 2017 E 4th St. Long Beach, CA 90814
Parking: Parking is available in the lot behind the center or surrounding streets.
