An event in support of the West End Community Action Network where folks can exchange their fabric and craft supplies- declutter, de-stash!
About this Event

The West End Community Action Network has been doing some downright rad amazing and cool work for the underhoused community through street outreach this past year, and through the work of rad amazing humans, connecting folks with resources they need via donations from the community.

Let’s help make this initiative a continued success in 2026! To support this rad action I will be hosting a Fabric and Craft Supplies Swap at my studio in the West End of Toronto.

The event is open to everyone to attend. Attendance at the event is pay-what-you-can ($5.00-$20.00 suggested). There will be free snacks, the space is mobility device accessible (both for entry and the washrooms) and will feature a wide selection of items to swap with from my own collection and from others in the studio space.

A fabric and craft supplies swap means- bring materials you have on hand and no longer need to trade with others and come find materials to bring home that someone else no longer needs! The true spirit of the swap is very based in a free-trade exchange, so no money will be charged for items being swapped at the event. This is a great opportunity to declutter your craft room and studio, meet other cool folks who make stuff, and support a great cause!

Suggested items that are welcomed at the swap include (but are not limited to):

-Fabric (it's ok if you've already cut it!)
-Leather
-Sewing supplies (threads, needles, zippers, snaps, buttons, etc.)
-Knitting or crochet supplies (hooks, needles, yarns, etc.)
-Embroidery floss
-Glue guns
-Craft papers or stationary supplies
-and so much more (think: could someone find a crafty use for your materials you no longer need? Please bring them!)

*If you prefer to bring a cash donation, please RSVP for free and bring cash to the event! If you would like to donate items needed and requested by the West End Community Action Network, please bring these and we will make sure they get to them!

Any and all materials unclaimed at the end of the event can either be taken home or will be donated locally.
