Toxe’s music is restless and luminous, built from twisting melodies and percussion that feels sharp and fluid. Since her debut as a teenager, she has carved out a singular sonic space where delicate and forceful elements collide.
Her latest album, Toxe2 (2024), is her most personal yet — written during a period of solitude, it turns introspective, with her voice weaving through warped, shimmering productions. Singing in her native Swedish for the first time, she embraces vulnerability and distance, shaping an intimate yet elusive atmosphere. Mixmag describes it as “a bright and emotive body of work,” while Fader notes how her “mix of industrial and ghostly sounds” reshapes pop into something otherworldly.
Live, her sound is a captivating paradox: both aggressively sharp and intricately delicate. Toxe is coming to Fuchs2 for the first time on Thursday, May 1, supported by DJ Venktovka (Opak Dissu).
