"If you go to Maiysternia Impro's Facebook page, you can see many bright and smiling people in the photos. People improvising, who are in the moment. There is a personal feeling in my head, that tomorrow may not exist, or tomorrow life will turn around and everything will change, thats why moment now is important.

In fact, behind each of these photos and behind each smile there is a story. Someone has already lost someone beloved in the war, someone has a father, brother, or friend fighting in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Someone lost their home, someone's native town under russian occupation. So many people went to Lviv just for a few weeks and can't return. There are hundreds and thousands of these stories not only attached to our impro school but all over Ukraine.

I am often asked: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹-𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗿? 𝗛𝗢𝗪? And I understand that we cannot give up and stop. Despite all the difficult circumstances, the Maiysternia Impro school is a kinda home for many people. We give space to improvise and create smth. We try to give as much love and support as possible. I want the impro school, Maiysternia Impro to give this safety to people. At least for a few hours.

The war takes away your sense of safety. It's like a not-ending earthquake, it's hard to hold back. Only then do you find a balance - a new shake. But it's so important to stand. And do everything you can, as a person, and as a citizen of Ukraine. There are words in our national anthem: 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺. And these words say a lot about Ukrainians.
