Presented in partnership with Amazon, the City of Redmond is proud to announce the launch of its Fútbol for All Speaker Series, a community program designed to celebrate the world’s game and prepare residents for the excitement of FIFA World Cup 2026™.
The series kicks off on Monday, Oct. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. with Soccer 101, an engaging discussion led by James Riley, Seattle Sounders Legend, Founder of JR7 SOCCER, and an official SeattleFWC26 World Cup Ambassador. Riley will be joined by two of his former Sounders teammates for a lively panel discussion covering the fundamentals of soccer, its global culture, and why the World Cup is one of the most unifying events in the world.
This discussion only forum is open to all community members and designed for anyone curious about soccer, whether brand new to the game or simply wanting to feel more confident cheering when the world’s biggest sporting event comes to Washington state. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session and enjoy a meet and greet with Riley and his panel.
