Queer Tango Boston is thrilled to host Ezgi Turmuş for her first-ever tour in Boston! For those of you who know her, here are the details and registration link you’ve been waiting for! For those of you who don’t (yet) know her, Ezgi is not to be missed!
WORKSHOPS at Dance Union:
2:00 - 3:15 Decorating the Dance: Torsion, Cross, Enrosque
All about torsion! Ezgi will teach crucial body mechanics for enrosque and cross, and offer new ideas for implementing them in the dance.
3:30 - 4:45 Refining Close Embrace to Expand the Possibilities
A deep dive into the mechanics of close embrace that will deepen connection while bringing new freedom and range to the dance. Prior experience dancing in close embrace recommended.

About Ezgi:
Ezgi Turmus started her tango journey at the Istanbul University Dance Club more than 20 years ago. She was interested in both roles from the day she started tango, and studied with several tango teachers both in Istanbul and Buenos Aires.
In 2009, Ezgi founded TangoSam, a vibrant and inclusive tango community in her hometown Samsun, where she started teaching and organizing Mar Negro Open Role Tango Marathon. She has honed her skills as a teacher and performer for more than a decade, and is now the most highly sought after dual role dancer internationally. She has been invited to teach and perform at festivals and events across Europe, Asia and most recently the United States. Some of Ezgi's most memorable dual role performances have been with well-known Argentine dancers Ariadna Naivera and Corina Herrera.
