Eyes Without: Group Exhibition

SomoS is excited to host Lilitu Art, an independent curatorial project, presenting their group exhibition, Eyes Without. The exhibition investigates the significance and role of the Face in contemporary times. Additionally, it aims to question what we understand as the face, and how contemporary phenomena such as new media, policies, and consumerism change and affect the discourse around personal appearance and identity.
Lilitu Art gathered the perspectives of seven artists and set up a show to foster a conversation about one’s appearance and its ties to personal identity. The exhibition consists of paintings by Amalie Smidth and Lilli Falzoi, sculptures by Lilia Kovka and Greta Dassler, a video installation by Bailey Keogh, a multimedia installation by Lee Kern, and paintings and performance by Brenner Havelka Plessl.
Program:
July 23, 6 - 9 PM: Opening reception at SomoS
July 25, 7 PM: Performance by Brenner Havelka Plessl
July 27, 7 PM: Artist Talk
July 24 - July 27, 2- 7 PM: Exhibition on view
Join us for this amazing opportunity to reflect on our preconceived ideas about the Face and what role it plays in contemporary society.
