POETRY WORKSHOP - (em)Power of the Editor: creative writing, breathwork, and community Saturday September 23rd, 2pm @ - 322 Franklin Ave, BK
eventbrite registration is free: sliding-scale donations will be collected at the garden
Aberdeen Garden will open at 2pm, the workshop will begin at 2:15pm.
The first hour poet and artist Em Marie Kohl will hold space for a community discussion around the creative and healing potential of the editor within poetry.
Em will close the first hour with a grounding practice in breathwork. There will be a 30min break for folks to talk and energetically transition for the second half of the workshop.
3:45 pm The second hour poet and curator danilo machado will lead a collective close reading of select works from Mimi Tempestt's 'the momumental misrememberings', with an in community writing session to follow. (Copies of the poems will be provided)
4:45 pm Em and danilo will open the floor for anyone who would like to, to share what they've written in the garden.
