Expressive Botanicals in Watercolor
Wednesday, September 18, 2024
10:00am-12:30pm
Instructor: Natalie Brooks
Explore watercolor with a focus on mindfulness! Did you know research shows that spending 45 minutes making art can significantly reduce stress? In this class, we will use grounding techniques and the inspiration of nature to paint semi-abstract botanical artwork. You will go home with a beautiful painting, feeling relaxed and equipped with new skills in watercolor, contour drawing, and mindfulness.
All supplies are included in your session fee.
With over a decade of experience in watercolor, Natalie Brooks Dourte shares her love of nature through painting. Born and raised in Florida, her imagination has been captured by the coasts and the lush world between. Her work is a rhythm of breathing in nature and exhaling with paint, honoring her source of inspiration, and inviting others to join her in the practice of wonder. Natalie is a member of both the Florida Watercolor Society and Central Florida Watercolor Society, and graduated fellow of Arts Fellowship Orlando.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available to FNGLA Certified Professionals upon request.
