WHEN IS THIS HAPPENING?
Walter & Larissa’s Intensive Training in Brazilian Zouk will take place on:
– What day → Sunday November 10th
– What time → 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
– Where → Room 2 - BraZouky’s Venue (Forever Dancing Ballroom)
WHY SHOULD I JOIN?
Jumping into an intensive Brazilian Zouk training is like turbocharging your dance with multiple regular classes or private lessons. In a short burst of time, you'll soak up loads of knowledge, nail those details and techniques, and watch your skills improve.
What's cool about it? It's not just about understanding what’s been taught. The focused atmosphere lets you really delve into the dance's subtleties, fine-tuning your groove, and enhancing your connection with the music. It's like taking the express lane for Zouk enthusiasts eager to level up quickly.
But it's not just about dancing. You'll vibe with other zouknerds, share laughs, and push each other to dance yumminess levels!
IS THERE AN AUDITION? WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
In the effort to accommodate feedback and suggestions from previous events, all participants will be signing up with a training partner of their choice instead of us holding auditions for the Expression & Creativity Intensive.
But wait, how does that work?
Each couple will sign up for the intensive as partners (1 Leader + 1 Follower) and take this program as partners. In the event other partners are willing and want to rotate partners with you, the teachers will allow partner rotation between those couples.
Our best recommendation is that your dance level (in Brazilian Zouk) is at the very least Intermediate level dancer (1 year plus). If you don’t meet this recommendation but still wanna sign up, be aware that this program might be a challenge for you and your partner.
To attend one of the Intensive Training Courses at BraZouky USA 2024, you must be an Event Pass holder (Leader, Followers or Buddies). This training is offered as an optional ‘add-on’.
WHAT AM I GOING TO LEARN?
In this immersive workshop led by Walter & Larissa, participants will also discover the nuances of musicality in Brazilian Zouk, learning how to synchronise their movements with various rhythms and melodies. The session will include exercises to develop spatial awareness and connection with dance partners, creating a deeper understanding of how to communicate through movement.
Walter & Larissa will share insights from their extensive international experience, offering tips on personal style development and improvisation techniques that encourage dancers to express their unique personalities on the dance floor. This workshop is ideal for those looking to not only refine their technical skills but also explore the boundless possibilities of artistic expression in Brazilian Zouk.
