About this Event
Robotic 3D printing is expanding beyond research labs and is beginning to make an impact on built architectural projects. A proliferation of new material applications and printing techniques is forming the basis for experimental approaches to built form, structure and tectonics. Large-scale 3D printing enables a radical shift in the relationship between the complexity of built form and the cost of production. The architectural design implications of these emerging technologies will be discussed by an international panel of architects including Benjamin Dillenburger (ETH), Areti Markopoulou (IAAC), Manuel Jimenez Garcia (Nagami), Alisa Andrasek (RMIT) and Roland Snooks (RMIT). This forum will consist of a series of presentations followed by a panel discussion.
