Exploring Water Management Challenges & Innovation in Ontario's Greenhouse Sector
In collaboration with the Ontario Water Consortium, the University of Windsor's Agriculture UWindsor (AgUWin) initiative is hosting a day-long event titled "Exploring Water Management Challenges & Innovation in Ontario's Greenhouse Sector." This event will bring together stakeholders, including researchers, industry leaders, water quality experts, policymakers, and community partners, to address critical water management challenges within Ontario's greenhouse sector.
Due to its intensive agricultural activities, the Windsor-Essex region faces unique water management challenges. This workshop will serve as a platform for knowledge exchange and collaborative problem-solving, focusing on developing sustainable water management strategies to support this vital sector's growth.
Participants will actively engage in presentations, panel discussions, and breakout sessions designed to explore current challenges, showcase innovative solutions, and foster connections for future collaborations. This event is an invaluable opportunity for attendees to gain insights into the latest water management technology advancements and network with key stakeholders.
About AgUWin
AgUWin supports agricultural research, innovation, and collaboration in Windsor-Essex, Ontario, home to the largest greenhouse concentration outside the Netherlands. This region is vital to North America's food supply. AgUWin partners with growers, retailers, and solution providers to advance technologies and methods for safer, more efficient agriculture. The initiative also offers experiential learning for University of Windsor students, helping them understand their impact and prepare for leadership roles in the industry.
