Calling and Mission

Did you know that that Church of England seeks to be active in 5 distinct areas of mission? These are to proclaim the Good News, nurture new believers, care for those in need, transform unjust structures, and to safeguard God's good creation. Which do you feel most drawn to and why? Come and hear from The Rt Revd Dr Toby Howarth, Bishop of Bradford, on why all five marks of mission are central to living out the gospel, and what that might look like in the Diocese of Leeds in 2025 and beyond. Whether you see yourself as an evangelist or a missionary, whether you think you are an activist or a teacher, it is sure to be a formative evening as we Explore Vocations Together.

We gather at 7pm and we will finish no later than 9pm. Tea and Coffee will be provided.

Please register your place.

FAQs

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Bradford Cathedral is a five-minute walk from Bradford Forster Square train station and a ten-minute walk from Bradford Interchange train station. Both stations are serviced by taxis.

We recommend parking at the Broadway Bradford shopping centre, which can be accessed off Leeds Road, but there are alternative car parks in the area.

To find Bradford Cathedral from the Broadway Bradford, use the lifts of stairs to get onto the ground floor and head towards Marks and Spencer. From there, leave by the doors and you should see a statue in front of you. From here, either enter via the State Gate entrance straight ahead and to your left, or head up Church Bank to the right to find the other entrances.

There is limited disabled parking - please let us know if you require a space.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No need at all. It just helps us have a pre-printed register we can use for fire safety purposes.

Can I update my registration information?

Any time!
