The Department of Cognitive and Evolutionary Psychology at the University of Pécs and the ViCE LAB research group are organising the international conference Exploring Trends in Cognitive Science (EXP26), which will take place on February 5–6, 2026. The primary goal of the conference is to bring together Hungarian and foreign researchers working in the field of cognitive science and to encourage the exchange of knowledge and experience between different institutions and research groups.
During the conference, invited speakers from various fields will present their latest research findings. At the same time, the conference will also provide an opportunity for other researchers to present their current research findings in the form of poster presentations. In addition, we will also provide an opportunity for research groups to present the areas in which they are conducting research.
Dr. Eva Landova from the Department of Zoology at Charles University and Dr. Eszter Somogyi from the University of Portsmouth will be keynote speakers at the conference. Additionally, the day before the conference, Dr. Bence Pálfi from the Department of Psychology at Goldsmiths, University of London, will conduct an online workshop on the fundamentals of Bayesian statistics.
We also welcome applications from researchers and students at doctoral and master's level who would like to present their latest results on posters, as well as from research groups who wish to showcase the areas in which they are conducting research. Research group presentations will take the form of stands during the poster presentations. We will provide tables and poster stands.
Participation in the conference is free for both presenters and attendees, but registration is required to attend.
