Join us for Exploring Through Play: A 6-Hour Introduction to Play Therapy– an engaging and comprehensive in-person training for social workers, counselors, and therapists. Immerse yourself in the foundational principles and practices of Play Therapy and learn how to create meaningful therapeutic experiences for children.

What You'll Learn: The history and development of Play Therapy, core techniques and interventions used in Play Therapy, how to create a therapeutic play environment, understanding the therapeutic powers of play, cultural and social diversity considerations in Play Therapy, and ethical guidelines and professional best practices.

This interactive course includes hands-on activities, real-life case studies, and practical exercises to immediately equip you with the skills needed to integrate Play Therapy into your practice.

Learning Objectives:

1. Describe directive and non-directive play therapy interventions and their effectiveness.

2. several play-based interventions applicable to individual, group, and family play

therapy.

3. List items and ways to set up a playroom in different settings, including mobile play

strategies.

4. Describe how clients of all age’s express awareness of cultural differences in the play

therapy room.

5. Discuss the importance of using a cultural humility and intersectionality lens in

collaborating with all clients.

6. Discuss ethical considerations and boundaries in play therapy practice.
