Hello Marauders! This week we are catching up and spending our time with the South East Wales River Trust (SEWRT) to find out, first hand, what they get up to.
The Trust are doing some excellent work in the community and trying to encourage more people to walk along the river and to learn about the amazing wildlife that inhabits the riverbanks. So, we're really pleased to have Oliver Wicks; their Catchment Coordinator, who'll lead us on our walk of around 7-miles and talk with us about the work that they do and in particular their RePrEEV Project (Restoration, Protection and Enhancement of Ely Valley SSSI).
Check them out here -

You won't want to miss this one so, lace up your boots, bring a packed lunch, put some film in your cameras and come and join in. You never know what you're going to learn and spot.
This is a level 6/7 on our Marauders walk scale. Our route will take us from St Fagans and along the river where we'll pass the picturesque church in St Georges Super Ely and take in Great Plymouth Woods along the way. We'll be walking on predominantly flat river paths with limited elevation.
You can park your cars for free in St Fagans Drive (postcode CF5 6EF) and we'll meet up in the REAR car park of the Plymouth Arms to start the walk at 9:30am.
See you there.
