Join us for a fun evening at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, enjoy a planetarium show and take in a live science demonstration as we take a closer look at the Many Moons of Jupiter. Find out how scientists are studying these moons, what they are looking for, and whether they could support lifeā€¦
When Galileo first turned his telescope to Jupiter he discovered 4 moons. A recent discovery made by University of British Columbia astronomers shows that Jupiter could have a total of 600 moons. Special guest Maude Lariviere, Masters student in Astronomy at the University of British Columbia, will be joining us to talk more about this fascinating discovery.
If you can't make it in person stream the lecture portion of the evening (8:00pm-9:00pm) from the comfort of your own home.
