Did you know that practicing yoga with the support of a chair and props can open new dimensions in your body and deepen your practice? While Chair Yoga is often recommended for those working with injuries or limited mobility, it also offers every practitioner a powerful way to refine alignment, explore stability, and experience postures more fully.In this two-hour workshop, we’ll explore creative ways to use a chair, blocks, straps, blankets, and a bolster to discover space and support in a full-body yoga practice. We’ll begin with an introduction to each prop and how it can assist, deepen, and expand your experience in familiar poses. The practice will then flow through seated, standing, prone, and supine postures, integrating props to help you find the fullest expression of each shape.
The session will conclude with a deeply restorative Yoga Nidra in an extended Shavasana — a chance to release, rest, and integrate the benefits of your practice.
