About this Event

Exploring a business idea?
Kickstart your journey today and turn your passion into a thriving business.

Join us for a FREE workshop that will help you:

• Understand the difference between a hobby and a business, and the value of each
• Evaluate the overall potential of your idea
• Identify your personal strengths, skills and role in your business
• Learn about the importance of having a supportive business community, and how to find one.
This workshop is designed to be accessible and inclusive, catering to individuals with lived experience of disability, including individuals with intellectual disabilities, who:

  • Have a business idea
  • Have an existing small business and is looking for extra support
  • Does not have a business idea but is interested in learning about what it would take to start a small business.

Carer Gateway is a national service dedicated to supporting carers, providing a range of practical assistance and resources tailored to your unique needs. Whether you’re looking for emotional support, practical advice, or information on available services, Carer Gateway is here to help.

Through Carer Gateway, you can access:

Counselling Services: Speak with professionals who understand the challenges of caring and can offer guidance and support.

Respite Care: Take a break when you need it, knowing your loved one is in safe hands.

Carer Coaching: Enhance your skills with tailored coaching sessions designed to help you navigate the complexities of caregiving.

Financial Assistance: Learn about available grants and funding options to ease the financial burden of caring.

Online Resources: Access a wealth of information, including practical tips, self-care advice, and peer support.
