About this Event

This workshop will teach techniques for making rhythms, and melodies quickly, intuitively, and playfully with MIDI Tools in Ableton Live 12.

MIDI Tools new type of device in Live that generate and manipulate the contents of MIDI clips. These devices are a powerful way to inject new ideas into your music, and they’re indispensable for creating variations on existing ideas. They are a game changer for anybody who finds it tedious and boring to program drums or melodic sequences on the piano roll.

Philip has made more than a dozen MIDI generators and transformers and released a pack of the devices on Live 12’s release day in March. The devices have been downloaded thousands of times by producers around the world. In this workshop, he’ll show you how to make the most of these tools. Participants in this workshop will receive a pack of Philip’s MIDI Tools for free.
