Join Us for Exploring Nature TogetherWould you like to learn how to nature journal with your child? Join us for a free 90-minute workshop for parents of young children where we’ll introduce the fun of nature study through collaborative journaling—a technique that helps pre-readers and pre-writers actively participate in the process.
This workshop will be led by Melody Becker, a Florida Master Naturalist, Wild Wonder certified Nature Journaling Educator, and second-generation Floridian. Melody brings over 17 years of experience working with families and children in alternative education and is excited to share how collaborative journaling can strengthen your connection with your child as you explore and discover the natural world together.
While this is an adult workshop, families are more than welcome to come along! Oak Hammock Park offers a playground and beautiful nature trails, so your children can enjoy the space while another supervising adult—such as a parent, older sibling, or grandparent—keeps them company.
At the end of the session, we’ll head outdoors for a family-friendly nature walk where everyone can join in the fun, including your little ones. Feel free to bring a picnic if you'd like to stay and hang out after the workshop is finished.
Please RSVP to this event by marking yourself as "Attending" so we can plan accordingly for the number of parents participating.
We hope to see you there for an exciting journey into the world of nature journaling!
