**Zoom link available if unable to attend in person - email [email protected]**We are excited to be working with the Greek Orthodox Community of St George, the Kytherian Association of Queensland and the Ithakan Society of Queensland on an exhibition exploring how the Ionian Islands (Ithaka, Kythera, Zakynthos, Kefalonia, Kerkyra, Paxi, and Lefkada) and their deep history continue to be remembered, lived, re-lived, experienced and expressed in Queensland, particularly by the Greek diaspora. The exhibition is due to open in late 2025 and will run until late 2027.
As part of this collaborative exhibition, we are hosting a community consultation day to explore what stories the exhibition might include. We will also be collecting oral history interviews for use in this project.
Join us on Friday 27 September from 10:30 – 11:30am at the Greek Club, West End, to hear about the exhibition and oral history project, and share your stories to potentially include in the exhibition. This session will be recorded for internal use of the project to make sure we capture relevant stories and information, but will not be otherwise distributed or deposited. Oral history interviews will be collected on Friday 11 October and Friday 25 October at the Greek Club, or at a mutually agreeable time either in person, or online.
