Zuza Zak calls herself a Storyteller-Cook and her aim is to inspire the Western world to cook and eat more food from Eastern Europe. She is fascinated by the history and culture of food, which she explores within her four cookbooks: Polska, Amber&Rye, Pierogi, and her most recent folklore book: Slavic Kitchen Alchemy.
Zuza spent her childhood in Poland and learnt the art of cooking and foraging from an early age, from her beloved grandmas. Her earliest memories are of making pierogi and other dumplings. Zuza is now passionate about passing on her love of Polish food to her daughters and anyone else who would like to learn.
