About the workshop
This workshop will explore how our voice and whole body can accompany us to express and transform emotions. We will first connect with our instrument through warm-up and sound explorations, then use some games and story sharing to connect together and start to express ourselves musically.
No previous musical or vocal experience is required.

Location
The location is called 'Kansalais Toiminnankeskus' and is close to Ainoa shopping mall and Heikkintori in Tapiola. We will be using the 4th floor 'VIP Lounge' and it can be accessed via the stairs or elevator.

Meet the faclitator: Carla Duret
Carla is singer-songwriter, vocalist and performing musician who explores how vocal and creative practices could be used as a tool in emotional regulation.Navigating between different aesthetics, she collected songs from several traditions and studied different vocal techniques. She has collaborated with artists from various fields and backgrounds, while composing for youth audience theater or singing in different languages and genres.
In Helsinki, she also leads her own project Carla du Ré and gives workshops where she shares songs from Occitan tradition, a South-West region of France.
