Karolina Adams and Sarah Simmerman present Exploring Emotion, art that conveys universal life experiences.Karolina Adams works in ink and graphite. Using drawing to unload her feelings, Adams works through her thoughts and emotions. Her artwork uses a striped socks character to depict those feelings and stories. "[My art is] about love and the happy moments that come with it. I share my struggles and triumphs… People lose themselves in my work and find themselves in its emotions, which demonstrates that we're all connected and uniquely the same." Adams has a BFA in Interior Architecture from Columbia College, Chicago. Adams has been in solo and group exhibitions in Arizona, Nevada, California, Colorado, Massachusetts, and Illinois.
Sarah Simmerman uses color and texture to convey a story of emotion and growth. She blends the abstract with structured elements, contrasting geometric patterns with organic forms. Sarah's experiences with depression and anxiety inform her artistic process and inspiration. "I use color to express myself, and my palette is chosen based on my current state of mind or memories. I am intrigued by how individuals can experience the same art differently based on their past experiences." Sarah has a BFA in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design. She has exhibited her work in Texas, Virginia, and throughout Arizona.
