Join Neighborly Huntsville's September gathering as we explore education in Huntsville, from the 1960's through today. We'll hear from Sonnie Hereford IV, the first Black student to be integrated into Alabama public schools. If you have the means, feel free to bring donations of school supplies or used toys/sports equipment for Free 2 Teach, a non-profit supporting teachers in Madison and Limestone counties. More speakers may be announced!Family friendly event, but let's not forget we're in a library! There is a pretty cool section for kiddos if your little one gets restless. We'll provide some light activities for folks who listen to draw or fidget while listening to speakers.
This event is in the auditorium! Enter the library front doors and turn RIGHT!
Neighborly is an inclusive community group focused on having fun and doing good in Huntsville, AL.
