About this Event
This event is run in conjunction with Priestley College and Warrington and Merseyside Computing Hub and in partnership with Hartree Centre, Warrington.
This event is open to schools across Warrington and Merseyside region.
This event aims to show girls that they can be a part of this technological environment, by giving them the opportunity to visit the facilities at the Hartree Centre. Event is for Year 7 and Year 8 girls from across the region to explore and how the latest technologies, including supercomputing, data science and Artificial Intelligence are being used. Groups will do each activity as a round robin.
Event Aims:
- Physical computing activities using Crumble controllers
- Watch 3D demos of visualisation suite to bring data to life
- Speak to women working in this sector
- Tour of the campus
This event is for students and for them to be accompanied by their teacher(s).
