2023 Kresge Artist Fellowship recipient Erin K. Schmidt will present an artist talk about the role of Book Arts in her practice.
About this Event

Erin K. Schmidt is a 2023 Kresge Artist Fellow who creates quiet, evocative spaces within her handbound and sculptural book art. She earned her BFA from Michigan State University in 1999. In 2010 she earned her MA in book arts from Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts, London. She was awarded the Sheffield International Artist’s Book Prize and her work was published on the cover of The New Bookbinder, Journal of Designer Bookbinders. Her work has been exhibited internationally and can be found in private and public collections including Tate Britain.
