Join Jake & Bronson to discover the wide world of Terrariums! This class will cover the basics of terrarium building and care, including plant types, soils, and more... No registration required. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
About our Instructors:
Jake has 10+ years of experience growing tropicals indoors. He specializes in epiphytic/hemiepephytic plants such as philodendron, hoya, and jungle cactus. His areas of interest also include plant arrangement, design, and plant families, as well as substrate composition. You can usually find him at our Glendale location tending to the houseplants.
Bronson has been growing tropical plants specifically in vivariums and terrariums for over 11 years. In doing so he has gained an extensive knowledge on the do’s and don’ts of terrarium gardening, as well as vivarium (a terrarium made with the purpose of housing small reptiles and amphibians) building. He strongly believes in the importance of practical and hands on experience because although terrariums are not inherently difficult, they are not as straight forward as they many seem.
