~Workshop 1: Persian-Iranian Dance (June 28, 6-8pm)
Experience movement vocabulary, stylization and short combinations appropriate for new-to-Iranian dancers as well as those with experience. Includes brief background and history about this dance style known in the west as “Persian Classical Dance”.
~Workshop 2: Movement and Connection with Persian Flow (June 28, 8:15-9:15pm)
Using breath, personal intentions and Persian-Iranian dance as a foundation, this fluid movement experience will leave you feeling relaxed and more connected to yourself (set to traditional Iranian music). Conclude the experience with Hafez's poetry, igniting inspiration and fostering deep inner contemplation.

Renowned for its distinctive beauty and graceful body lines, this style of dance embodies a captivating blend of artistry and tradition. Known in the West as Persian Classical Dance, this style has become a highly sought out art form you’ll not want to miss!
Join Delsie Khadem-Ghaeini, the co-founder of the Iranian Dance Academy and artistic director of the Delnaz Dance Ensemble, as she leads this experience where you will:

Workshop 2 Full Description: Movement and Connection with Persian Flow (8:15-9:15pm)
Using breath, personal intentions and Persian-Iranian dance as a foundation, this fluid movement experience will leave you feeling relaxed and more connected to yourself.
Students engage in movements and mindful breathing, fostering a sense of attunement with their bodies and breath. As the session progresses, this foundation deepens through movements rooted in Persian dance that cultivate awareness and connection with the inner self. As the session draws to a close, each participant selects a piece of Hafez poetry, known as "Fal-e Hafez" in Farsi. Through contemplation and interpretation, these interpreted verses are an opportunity for inner reflection. By the end, a collective sense of centeredness and embodiment permeates the space, leaving participants grounded and connected both within themselves and with one another.
While some dance movements will be introduced, this is not a "dance class". Although this is a low-impact class, you will definitely generate internal heat throughout the experience.

More About Delsie Khadem-Ghaeini
Delsie Khadem-Ghaeini is a recognized and highly sought-out performer, choreographer, and dance teacher. Born in Iran and raised in Colorado, Delsie is the co-founder of the Iranian Dance Academy which is a platform that serves Persian Dance students globally with her partner Shahrzad Khorsandi (a globally renowned and celebrated leader in Persian dance). Delsie Khadem-Ghaeini is the artistic Director of Delnaz Dance Ensemble and teaches regular classes at Bella Diva World Dance in Colorado. She performs regularly in both private events and public large-staged venues. With a Master’s Degree in education and 20+ years experience as an educator, Delsie has been a guest instructor and performer at schools and universities, performed as an engaging keynote speaker in front of large audiences and is known for her challenging, yet accessible, dance classes. Audiences, both Persian and not, describe Delsie’s artistry as authentic, graceful, playful and passionate. She brings some Iranian audience members to nostalgic tears, while her choreographies get rave reviews. Delsie is a certified dancer and teacher in the Shahrzad Technique of Persian dance and has experience in multiple other dance styles including Latin, Middle Eastern and Western dance styles. In addition to dance, she has vast experience in distance running, regularly practices barre and yoga and has completed teacher training courses in Pranayama (breathwork).
