About this Event
Join a guided tour of new exhibition Dunera: Stories of Internment — displaying over 200 artworks created by the internees who live through this extraordinary little-known chapter of Australian history. Led by curators Louise Anemaat and Andrew Trigg, experience the stories of the internees from their harrowing journey to Australia to the realities of camp life and beyond.
This tour will meet at the entry point to the exhibition (Level 1, Mitchell Building).
Louise Anemaat is Executive Director, Library and Information Services and Dixson Librarian at the Library. She is the author of Natural Curiosity. Unseen art of the First Fleet (NewSouth Publishing, 2014), an analysis of the traditions of natural history art production in Australia and Britain during the 18th and 19th centuries.
