About this Event
Join us with Georgina Brandon for a six week program to draw with others and discover our unique expressive visual language. These sessions provide fun prompts and exercises to loosen up, set aside judgement, and realize that we can all draw!
Session dates:
12 noon - 1pm on Wednesdays Feb 19th, Feb 26th, Mar 5th, Mar 12th, Mar 19th, Mar 26th. The purchase of one ticket includes access to all six sessions.
Why would I do this?
Drawing is:
A different way of communicating other than talking, and one that children often excel at but then forget along the way.
Great for our brains as it uses different areas of the brain.
Activates the imagination, which is where ideas and hope lie.
Initiates problem solving.
Leads to new ideas.
Helps us to look at the world differently.
Prompts us to focus.
Leads to a flow state.
Is fun, especially with others.
A good way to share ideas.
Simple and creative.
Fundamental to all other mediums.
Georgina Brandon studied Fine Arts and Ceramic sculpture at Mount Allison University and Emily Carr College of Art & Design, and has taught workshops to all ages for the past 25 years. She works in clay, painting, illustration, and drawing.
