Agenda: Explore fungi found at DABG, have a brief discussion on how to use iNaturalist (an online community app to connect people to nature), and then explore the conifers & observe mushrooms!
About Jeff Patch: "I'm the father to an eight-year-old son and uncle four times over. As an avid hiker, trail runner and nature enthusiast, I'm fascinated by the variety of fungi and how they interact with our ecosystems. I focus on edible mushrooms. As chair of our foray committee, I help plan educational opportunities for Iowans to learn more about mushrooms and how to forage while avoiding toxic fungi. I'm certified by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach and the Wisconsin Mycological Society to identify wild mushrooms."
