About this Event
Pecar Park and Nature Center is unique because it is home to such a diverse array of animal species. Through a partnership with a local exotic animal rescue, the Nature Center is home to many types of turtles, snakes, an iguana, an axolotl, a frog, scorpions, insects, fish, chickens, and more under the care of the park Naturalist! Come learn about both native and non-native species in this unique opportunity to learn about animals up close, including a Glow Lab full of interesting critters, games, and other learning opportunities.
After exploring the Nature Center, you'll find a nature-inspired playground, hiking trails, and a pond surrounded by classic fall foliage all around! Picnic outside on the playground, and enjoy some time getting to know other OpenEd families.
The program starts at 11, please plan to arrive a little bit beforehand to get settled. Event is rain or shine, and families are welcome to stay at the park as long as they'd like (and until the nature center closes).
