About this Event
This 3-week sampler class is the perfect introduction for adults who want to try something new in a relaxed, supportive setting. Over the course of the class, you’ll dive into the element of art, line, and learn foundational clay techniques as well as mindfulness —with a focus on slowing down, painting slabs with underglaze and utilizing the sgraffito technique of carving into color and mishima (inlaying color). This is a great way to understand the feel of clay, build confidence in making art, and create beautiful pieces by hand.
No experience is necessary, all materials, tools, and kiln firing are included.
This class meets October 28th, November 4th and 11th from 5:30-7:30pm.
