Genitourinary Pathology Society (GUPS) and International Society of Urologic Pathology (ISUP) have jointly organized an expert consultation conference on IDC-P, that will take place during the USCAP meeting in Boston, on Saturday 22nd of March 2025 from 1 to 5 pm.
The background is that the partially contradictory recommendations concerning the grading of IDC-P issued by the two uropathology societies have been confusing to pathologists and clinicians alike. Therefore, we sincerely hope to reconcile these discrepancies by discussing these in a joint half-day meeting.
Before the Boston in-person meeting, an expert panel of 30 pathologists nominated by both societies have been using a Delphi Method to achieve consensus on variety of pressing issues and gaps in knowledge pertaining to IDC-P.
The Boston meeting is open to members of both societies. We will provide the link with a finalized proposal by an expert panel to you for comments during the in-person Boson meeting. There will be no voting during the meeting.
Finally, we will provide more details regarding the location of the meeting once these are finalized.
