About this Event

Struggling with a current funding application, or just don’t know where to start? Applying for funding is time-consuming, daunting, potentially stressful, sometimes a bit lonely, and is usually a task that takes place in addition to your usual workload.

Choose from a selection of dates and times to suit you. Once you've registered, we'll pass on your details (name and email address) to Caz - please email [email protected] at this point if you would prefer to meet her online rather than in-person.

Caz’s sessions are for anyone from a charity (small or large) who is looking to raise funds from grants. You might be a fundraiser with some experience, or a first-timer new to writing funding applications.

In addition to writing a compelling application, funders also need organisations to show they have the systems and processes in place to manage a grant effectively. Caz is on hand to talk you through what funders want to see – from theory of change to policies and procedures.

No matter your level of experience or what stage you are at - the before (getting ready for funding), during (writing your application) and after (you’ve won funding, now what?) - Caz will demystify the funding process and offer some practical advice, to help you get the funding you need.

You might want to talk about:

  • How to get started
  • Finding the right funders for you
  • Eligibility - is my application on the right track?
  • Demonstrating impact
  • What/how much to ask for
  • Budgets
  • Writing styles
  • Story telling
  • Pipeline planning

Expert Biography

Caz’s mission is to help charities do good things – she loves working with organisations working to make the world a better place. A fundraiser for over 20 years, Caz has written, reviewed and edited hundreds of successful applications. As a Grants Assessor, Caz has picked up some super-useful insights into what makes a Grants Assessment Panel tick.

It doesn’t matter how big your charity is – the principles of applying for grants remains the same. Caz has fundraised for tiny, fledgling charities, multi-national global organisations and everything in between, winning grants from £500 - £5,000,000. If you are a charity looking to do some good, then Caz can support you to find the funding you need.
