In this 3-day experimental riveting course you will learn a range of riveting techniques, joining different materials through cold connections to make a wearable piece of jewellery.You will learn and practice various riveting techniques, and have the chance to investigate alternative materials to combine with metal in a riveted piece of jewellery. Finally, you will collate your chosen materials, prepare the components and assemble your jewellery design.
The course is suitable both for beginner and intermediate jewellers who wish to strengthen and expand their skill set.
During the course, you will explore using mixed materials in riveting, assembling and finishing, and you will learn how to manufacture:
Standard rivets
Wire rivets
Tube rivets
Flush rivets
Movable rivets
Your exploration of these processes will allow you to design and make a finished jewellery piece that you can take home.
