Have you always wanted to learn watercolor and didn't know where to start? Friend, this workshop is for you. You will learn an array of foundational skills to launch your own foray into the world of watercolor. "Experience the Magic of Watercolor" is a two part watercolor series and Part 1 is all about birds and blobs. We will explore some of watercolor’s most elusive and cherished behaviors to demystify and to thoroughly enjoy them. Learn the differences between a wash and a glaze, explore the mesmerizing effects of wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques, develop the confidence to separate cool blues from warm blues, and much more. This workshop will take you through the basics of watercolor, including materials (paper, pigments, brushes) and technique, to create a work of art that you can take home as inspiration for further explorations.
